Who Saw The Deep - Issue #1

Posted by Lazymodecomics - May 26th, 2012

Greetings People,

We have done it! We completed the first issue of Who Saw the Deep. Nothing like a hardboiled cyber-punk adventure starting out with a bang. The first issue Hangman was officially finished today along with the last minicomic. I'm damn excited about which is why I can't think of anything better then to show everyone on Newgrounds.

Issue #1 Hangman is 24 page issue following the adventures of Gene Foster, head of security of the mega corporation Insilico. Issue #2 starts up on July 4th, around a month from now. Stay tuned and enjoy the updates that pop up here and there. To everyone who's been following the story, voting, and supporting my art. You're amazing and keep it up!

See you in silico

-Jake

Below is the first page, how it all starts.

Holy shit! I just read all 24 pages and that was amazing! You did a great and effective job in story telling. I really liked the main character (Gene Foster) and how he has this ghost of a woman following him around. Something that I was wondering about is the ghost woman following him around though, is she the same woman he slept with toward the beginning of the comic book? That through me off a bit, but it didn't take away from the story. It reminds me a lot of Afro Samurai in that sense of this ghost kind of following him around and keeping him in check. Another thing that this comic reminded me of was Sin City. It may sound cliche, but it does because of it's noir-istic style and old school detective approach. I mean Lucky Strikes? If that doesn't shout old school detective I don't know what does. You did a great job on this and I can't wait for the nest issue to be released!

I love you.
